im still pretty new to all this but i was planning on using an Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface for my home studio and ive been getting mixed reviews. what are some good interfaces in the 200-500 range that would be better?

if I were you I'd get an Apogee Duet2.. (assuming ur on a mac). consider the extra hundred dollars (it costs 595) a good investment cuz its inevitable you'd upgrade int he future if u got a cheaper one and r serious about music.

Do yourself a favour and checkout the Roland Octa-capture. Rock solid drivers and very low latency. Sound is very good with cool features.

Like someone else said not sure if your on Mac, in the case that you are definitely check out the Duet2, or even look for a used Original Duet in good condition.

RME Babyface is great for mac and pc, but I know it is a litte out of your budget. PreSonus makes good interfaces and has a nice USB line.
