Wow pearman a designs p1

okay so today i swapped out the U87 and hooked up the pearlman into the a-designs p1 and the rosetta doing the conversion. I normally have the p1 gain really low to get a clean signal, but I said hey wtf let me crank it and see how it breaks up...WOW in your face full vocals. it's almost as if the vocals where in my room talking to me. It was really a NIGHT and DAY vocal take when cranking that gain. No hype. My 610 saturation broke up waaaaaaay different when cranking the gain it was just more muddy. Bad tubes idk, but the pearlman shined tonight.. I NEVER got this vocal with my u87 although I never put it to p1 with gain cranked high that is my next step. I really love this combo and my vocals are just so upfront clear, lush and really phat. anybody else use this combo ?

The mids seem to change a little and sound like it's being compressed in a cool way. Love the pad engaged when recording kick and snare also.
