RME 96/8 is the best sounding card of any manufacturer in the world for less than 500$ US .
Very solid drivers , 5 ms response on fx/vstis . No other sub 500$ card comes close .

I have a RME Digi96 PST and it sound and converters are dated. I have replaced it with a EMU 1212M.. The Emu card converters blows the doors off the Now dated RME digi 96PAD or PST.

Get the 1212M (with) master grader convererts. You'll hear the difference immediatley.. Also, EMu now has very low latency drivers and very cool FX's that yoou can use in you DAW..

Lastly, the 1212M can be had for $199.99 these days...Boom..There it is..Game over..
P.s..If you really wan tthe RME Digi 96 ,I have a one that I'll let go for a very nice price..

i would suggest the 9632, great company and solid drivers. Clean card where theirs no problems and the latency is par none.

aye kickz try americanmusical.com, they have a payment plan and it works man worth every penny. With the 9632 it comes with 2 analog ins, 8 channel adat, midi, spdif. Also its expandable with the i/0 cards from rme and 16 more channels with the add-on. Also you can mix and match rme cards to your liking also. Ive been to a few setups where 2 9652's or 2 9632's workin beautiful in sync with no problems.

No... At least it is no longer manufactured. And there will not be 64-bit-drivers. The 9632 may a better choice, if it's within your budget...
