Thread Starter | Damn you craigslist...
I can't stop looking at it. I keep finding gear at near crackhead prices. Usually because folks think the stuff is broken/damaged or have no use for it. Here's just some of the stuff I've copped this year:
Akai MPC 2000 - $50 (Just had to clean the pots, replace the floppy drive and some buttons)
Akai Z4 and E-mu Esi4000 samplers- Both for $40 (Just had to take out one bad RAM stick)
Serato SL1 - $65 (Seller dropped the price because he thought it needed the AC adapter that he lost.)
Maschine Mikro - $100 (near brand new in the box)
This is just some of the deals I found. I'm not really into gambling, but every time I check craigslist it feel like I'm pulling a "one-arm bandit". Most times its come up empty, but when it hits I come up big.

Really? Its completely different where I'm at. I only shop local since you're not really protected when purchasing . Around here people want near retail prices for used stuff. eBay is usually a better bet for me.
Congrats on the deals!

I too am a craigslist junkie. Some of the scores I got off there would make you sick. Most recent was a new maschine for $150 & 2x A&H ML4000 sidecars for super cheap.

"Child Support" might be the alternative word.

I got there before anyone else because she lived 10 min. away. It was definitely some type live-in boyfriend/husband situation. It was a really nice house in a very pricy section of the city. She was there with her baby girl and all this gear packed up at the door saying "I need this stuff gone." I felt bad for the guy and even worse for whatever he did to drive her to that point, but I knew someone was going grab this stuff...she had a bunch of ads on craigslist.

Man, I remember being on Craig's List for a month or two everyday and never came up with anything. I'm gonna take this post as "Don't give up!" Lol!

I just got a Technic SL1200 MK2 for 175 on Craigslist. Works perfect, already used it live. Still been shopping around for a second one. Don't think I'll another in this range tho.
