Converting back?

Long time viewer first time poster?
So I been doing the beat ting for a while now, working with mc's from london and manchester. Now things are getting semi-serious so Im looking to change things up, its not broke or anything but I just want to make some adjustments, not fix it.
A fair few years ago, I ran an s900, sp808 and s3000 into an akai MG1212, results were decent, this was just for fun, I also used a novation rack synth and an akai s20 and vinyl, recorded some sessions and demos and nothing much came about, I then moved to new zealand and I moved to being completely ITB and its since then that I started working with MC's. Ive now moved back to the UK. However, I feel that if I get myself a sampler again (mpc 2000 is on its way back to me) I will start to take things more seriously, be more inclined to go digging and really put the effort in to make things work this time around.

Sometimes I feel that when its all ITB, theres not much room for soul, its all punch in punch out, with all these emulation VST's and physical model/sampled instruments it feels like things arent going anywhere.

Im looking to sample into an s3200 apply fx, lfo, levels then bang the floppy/zip into mpc 2000 and chop/sequence. Then possibly go from mpc onto tape. Im wondering if this is going to work for me though seeing as how ive been laptop for 2 years now. has anyone else been in the same situation?

Im taking a bit of risk here as I am kinda broke and semi jobless.

Thoughts?
Last chance no breaks!

I'm not a current user, and I'm TOOOTALLLY guessing here but.

I'm a 42 year old guy that is loving maschine because of it's slightly older school hardware integration ala the standard drum machine. I'm also an in the box guy that used to own an MPC 60 that I never really vibed with so simply used it for credibility while simply creating beats in Fl studio many years ago. My favorite sampler that I used to own was a Korg Dss1.... And I totally think I owe my misunderstanding of the MPC 60 due to it's lack of instant gratification. Meaning loading sounds was stupid slow. I need to move quick cause Im old and I forget quickly.. and it was just too daunting to have to go through that much shit just to load and assign sounds.

I think the MPC Ren might be something to look into. I'm "Guessing" that they needed to design this thing to appeal to old school sampling guys as well as the new school beat producers.

I personally think I'm going to give Akai another try. It looks interesting.
