Workstations (on the inexepensive side)

I'm considering getting myself a workstation for the lab. Right now I'm running pro tools and a nice collection of soft synths/samplers, but I feel like it's time for me to get some hardware. (Looking at the boxes of software just dosen't feel that slutty anymore.) I'm in the situation where my midi-controller just quit and I'm thinking I could get a lower end workstation to help take some of the struggle off my drowning computer and replace the controller at the same time. I find the new Alesis fusion and the Yamaha Mo series to be within my budget. Any Suggestions? If you vote please let me know why
