talking plugin

i remember about 10 years ago using fruityloops and it had this thing where you could type in text and and then a voice of your choosing eg.robotic would say it. im in logic express and am looking for a plugin like this.are there any?

i would try to create strange and highpitched vocal noises with it

I remember that. It would be cool to know if there was a plugin like that. You could use something like SoundFlower to record OSX's native text to speech application (I hate workarounds). Or you could record the vocals yourself and synthesize them with Logic's vocoder. Still a plugin would be more convenient.

i was hoping somebody had taken the idea and created a plugin with tons of different voices to choose from im surprised there isnt one. also i hate using soundflower, the volume seems to come very low and even randomly sometimes and often it just sounds like shit for some reason

If you're on a Mac, just open TextEdit, type what you want to say, and go to Edit > Speech > Start Speaking. You can change the voices in System Preferences >Speech

Or you can do it with Google Translate.

Then just mic up your speaker and record it into logic.

I'm not aware of any plugin that does this.

Google "TTS" (text to speech). Used one for Jordin Sparks "I am woman".
