| Powercore Brickwall Limiter..Any comments ? Thinking of purchasing the Brickwall Limiter..But it it's expensive for a one trick pony. Has anyone got experience of working with it ? Comments ? Or advice for another UAD or Poco plug that will maximise my mixes level ?(Sony Oxford Inflator ?) |

| Lives for gear | If you are talking about the MD3 from TC and want to compare it against the UAD Precision Limiter and the Sony Inflator you are totally on the wrong turn my friend! The MD3 is not only a limiter! It is meant to be a mastering solution. Something like the UAD Precision Multiband and the Precision Limiter. I have used a lot of TC tools in the past and must admit I am thinking that these guys are doing a good job. If you like to get something that adds a bit flavour to your two track think about the Universal Audio stuff! The TC stuff is not able to add flavour! It works very transparent and razorsharp! It does not add anything to your stuff! Not anything good, not anything bad, it just changes the parameters that you want it to change. This job is done with the highest quality possible today! I am sure the UADs and the TCs (Of course the Sonys, too) are all working at the highest level of sonc quality! If you have a great two-track you have to think about your needs! I would say choose the TC for surgical jobs and the UADs for jobs that require precision, but more glue than surgical precision.
