Wassup all,

Now that my tickets are booked, It's official : I'm going to L.A. between the 13 and the 26 of August 2006.

If anyone has heard a little bit of what I produce, and tend to like it, I would be glad to meet people in the business, of both sides (Producers / A&R).

I think it's really great that you have the money and the time to chase after your dreams like that but If you are coming to america to pass out hip hop cd's to studios and lables then you probably want to go to New York. Your going to find that LA is WAY to spread out to really accomplish what you are trying to do. In New York there are quite a few studios in a small area to do this. The weather is nice then here in LA though and there are some...TONS of hot girls to check out, but that's probably not what your trip is for. lol

Personally, I'd try looking for a manager, some one in LA or NYC who knows the game. It's really tough to show up at studios and hand out beat CD's. Most studios only record and have nothing to do with the distrubution of beats/grooves throughout the industry. When you go to the studios ask them if they have any contacts for hip hop managers. Either way, I wish you luck and keep your head up. If you're this persistant then you'll find what you are looking for!

No disrespect man, and I applaud your tenacity, but to go another country blind in the hope of networking your demo is like getting head off Angelina Jolie out of the phone book.

You should have prepared a list of people to see., contacted them for meets, sorted a manager or rep etc...

However, I wish you the best of luck.

I appriciate your concern Samplecraze, and thats exactly what I did before I came over L.A. I had 3 contacts to meet, but I didnt think of a manager at all... I didnt even knew this existed for beatmakers.

Anyway, when I post here Im just looking for people like you and me who would be interested to chat and share tips (which is way more fun than hustling for your beats).

Hope ur having a good time checking out the LA sights.Try getting at some studios and see whats happening there.Try and keep ur ear to the street and see whats up.Btw, check ur PM's when u got some time.
