It goes on and on, but never on and off. Stay strong and never take a pause, it's constant elevation all the way to the top.

I feel bad for the people that just sold their maschines, and THANK YOU NI. I also own their S4 and rock that with technic 1200s and they are taking care of it under warranty. Great company, and this update is straight cash for the maschine users like me.

Still waiting on the MPC Renaissance though

I applaud NI for keeping the development of Maschine going. I had put mine in the storage closet until it grew up. Looks like they are finally here.

Here's a question for you guys...

How many of you guy's would use those... Melodic sample licks... that come with some of those expansion packs. I'm talking using them exactly as they are in the expansion pack or chopped up.

I know some producers are totally against using them and think it's wack. I used to be that way until one day I had "Beat Block"... and couldn't come up with anything so I used a "Guitar sample lick" from a sample pack to start a beat and made a "Banger".

See the thing is... the music I added to the "Guitar sample lick"... I never would have came up with if I wouldn't have started with that "Guitar sample lick". Sometimes after I've added other instruments and finished the beat... I'll take the sample out and see if I can replace it with something else... so the whole beat can be free of "sample's" but that rarely works.

It's just seems like when I used those "Played lick Samples" it takes me in a whole different direction when making a beat and it saves me the trouble of digging through hundreds of records to find a dope sample.

They're also "Royalty-free" ... so you don't have to worry about getting a sample clearance....

So... how many of you guys would use some of those "Sample Licks" from sample CD's or expansion packs in your music?

Wow! U gotta love this. Akai selling point for the renaissance was that it had timestretch unlike other samplers and now ni maschine has timestretch a couple of months before the release of the new mpcs. It's amazing how fast companies move when competition is on their a**. Thankfully, the consumers will benefit from this

I'm really glad they added a tube saturator to the maschine. Kontact is such a great VST/Plugin in itself but a few more capabilities would be divine.

I would say AKAI based on tenure, and I think Maschine will be developed more due to AKAI's history of ignoring/poorly handling update requests on their other products. Akai is known for hardware, not software. Good question bro!

Oh forgot anyone think Battery 3 is dead. I'm guessing Battery 3 kits get made into maschine packs or put in the kontakt library. Absynth, FM 8, and Massive sounds get put in Maschine or Reaktor. Reaktor becomes the host for synths. Guitar Rig is the effects rack. Maschine 2.0 comes out with a new controller next year-multicore, audio tracks, somekind of songmode. Maybe a keyboard controller for maschine or kontakt? I'm just thinking outloud hear. I'm excited for the 1.8 update. I don't understand what the transient master is or offline timestretching. Isn't live offline timestretching? Thx

For the most part, I many of these upcoming features are functions that should have been included when Maschine (or an sampling workstation) upon its initial release 3 years ago. The sample play position indicator on the waveform is the feature I want the most as it enhances editing. I could never understand why a software company would leave this function out.

Regardles, I am glad to see NI is further developing Maschine. A few more tweaks of the software and a new controller, and Maschine will be ideal for me.

Now all it needs is Mono export and I'll truly be happy with it.

They could have the timestretch online but that's cool, that's a free update with some interesting things.

Who knows. Akai has been around longer. NI has a longer history of developing software.

Both have pros and cons. NI has a rep for abandoning products. Akai has a rep for being slow to push out updates. Hopefully, each company will drive the other to continually step their game up.

yeah, mono export should've been addressed before Maschine was ever released. Who dropped the ball on that basic feature? i hope they have fixed the annoying metronome clitch where you have to reboot to turn it off. Ren would really have to be lacking in something for me not to wipe my hands of Maschine an get the Ren, especially if they give it a few audio tracks within the software. this its a very important feature for creating , i may want to play a live bass or hardware Synth into my Ren session. Also, please fix the gain staging in Maschine.

I agree with Jahrome on the new controller. I can't break bread with thosea jumpy @ss encoders, and flimsy USB port. I will take another look upon 2.0. I like the development though.

Makes you wonder if Akai didn't come out b%tchslapping, how long before this stuff would have been added tho lol. Let the race begin. Who will win? Me....

They should also make the multi-out as easy as Battery 3. Easier transpose would make it bliss inside of a DAW as well
