^I think you are literally one of the nicest producers I've heard to date. You really got a good ear for dope undeniable hip-hop beats. And your drums are crazy!!!
Thanks bro!

I combine the best of both worlds... Id even mixdown on a cassette! Did that in 2010!
Pick is a little dated - I sold the Manley to buy a pair of Filtek Mk3as (AMAZING EQs!!), and there's a modded Drawmer 1968 ME not in the pics. And a mic collection. Also, I'm a little more bald now.
KEF 103.2 ?? I use the same Speakers.
Filtek Mk3 here, too... LOL
Story..... build yourself a new desk ffs I didn't total it all up.. but at a glance, I see you've got over 10K worth of gear sitting on that old thing... I'm thinking it must have some sentimental value.
P.S. I know you sold the Manley so thats part of the question answered, but how well did it stand up to the Tube-Tech and how well did it stand alone?
Cheers
The desk is an antique 60s study desk made mainly of oak. The legs are pure oak, sturdy as can be. The reason it looks so ratty is that I sawed it myself with a saws-all to fit the rack gear in. I used a secondary wood finish over it so everything on it sits well in place, almost like it's glued. Thing is sturdy as a rock - just doesn't look so flashy. I ain't givin' that thing up for nuthin'.
Actually, it was a tough decision which to sell. The Tube Tech colors the sound immediately when its switched in, and the filters all effect each other. It's a little trickier to use and get used to. The Manley is a cleaner tone, with much more of a 1:1 transfer, with a bypassable transformer and many more tone options. But I am extremely partial to the Tube Tech's color, and I prefer the low end on the Tube Tech a little more.

Then you my friend are one of the chosen few! I also have a few sets of alternate reference monitors just for a reality check, cause the Kef's aren't exactly thee most honest speakers in terms of transient response. But they do rock and rock hard.
Filtek's - AMAZING EQs, unbeatable for the price (not even close).

How old is that tubetech, and have you had any repairs done on it?
yes, that's duct tape on my chair. i got pissed off and threw it across the room at a wall.
though nothing tops the time i was hammered as ****, and my computer crashed DURING recording, and i whipped my mouse at my tc konnekt 48, and not only did i put a HUGE dent in its paper thin metal casing, i broke the damn mouse too
