Does the MPC 3000 have a regular disk drive?

Theyre actually 2 very different machines (have both), especially in terms of workflow. 3000 sounds more well rounded to me, with less need to layer drums, tighter timing when sequencing unquantized (4 some strange reason). But the xl....whooo!!! I can make a beat much faster on it....but they dont quite come out as dope in the end....a lot of the differences i described could also be due to a major factor regarding chopping with and without a graphical waveform.

The xl has the wave u can see and defining the Zone is fast as hell. But on the 3k, ur doing it by time increments (numerical)....forces u to use your ears to select the cut points, which tends to result in me making better choices therein.....but it takes longer....both are great though

thank you very much i use an asr 10 . so im used to the number grid ..
