Hi,

I don't know if it's the same on the 3000 but on the first AKAI samplers the individual out were not as good as the stereo out and it seems to me it's your problem .

My tech looked it up and confirmed that technically there was a difference .

From your description it can't be summing or converting since you were already listening through Pro Tools . It's just that you are not listening to the same thing .

The stereo outs sound better .

Man, that's a sweet chain you got there until the last part....

I can't disagree more. Tracking as loud as you can is going to make your mix sound like shit. You'll be clipping the shit out of the mix buss. That statement probably holds true for tape, but definitely not digital.
