Thread Starter | Too late to collect records?
Hey guys, I started getting into producing and I've been doing it for a couple of months now. Usually I would re-create an existing beat with samples and add my own touches to it. Now because of this, I haven't been really used to creating my own beats that I've sampled myself. I've been planning to buy a turntable and a couple of soul/jazz vinyl records and work my way to making my own arrangements. Although some of my friends said I don't need to collect records / buy a turntable because I can just buy the songs on digital. Should I still go on my first plan? Or should I really just buy songs digitally and sample it from there? Thanks! |

I would suggest u go with ur gut. Dont listen to what others suggest is good for you or your music. Its never 2 late 2 get in2 vinyl. Thats like saying is it crazy to buy a piano when i could just use a plugin and a midi keyboard.... Comprendes??? |

You should most definitely get some records! My grandfather had about 400 records all kinds of genres! he ended up sending them to me, I got lucky but it most definitely got me into collection and more into sampling than ever before. |
