hi guys i just finished cleaning up a new song i made and now i`m about to apply some pitch correction..now the question i`m asking to my self it if i should apply it to the whole track or only to certain part ( i`m not talking about the t-pain effect here) i wanna user it 1- to blend the track 2- correct little timing....i have cubase 6 pitch-correct and waves tune. ( witch i will learn tomorrow)...so what do u guys think i should do.. thanks, fred |

off the top of my head...if there are elements of your track that are out of pitch, if you alter the pitch of the track as a whole it will still be out of pitch by the same amount. Wouldn't you need to focus on the individual element that is out of tune ? For of time stuff wouldn't quantize be a more suitable tool ? I could be wrong so feel free to correct me

Pitch correction will insert some artifacts, so using it sparingly is a good idea on just the parts the need it.

cubase 5/6 - Vari audio is amazing - have you not tried it !!? Simply analyze the the audio then adjust pitch/length - check out youtube for tutorials !!
