AKAI S3000XL Floppy data to Mac or PC

Hey guys.

Does anyone know if there's software available that can read the AKAI S3000XL format floppy disks on Windows 7 or Mac OS X (10.7)? I have samples saved on floppy discs and I'd like to get them onto a computer. I'm using a 2009 Macbook Pro, but I also have access to a PC, I'm using a usb floppy drive. The floppy discs get recognised on PC, but I can't view the contents of it - a message appears telling me I need to format the floppy, which would wipe all the data. On mac, the AKAI formatted disks don't even get recognised. Any info on this situation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

I don't know all the in's and out's regarding transfering of the data but you might want to look into Chicken Systems Translatorâ„¢ 6. They also have a forum with individuals who I'm sure would have been in a similar situation.

Thanks. I was looking at Chicken Sys, seems to be pretty much the only thing out there. It's just a bit too much money at the moment, so I guess I'll stick to recording the output of the sampler, bit of a long way of doing it, but it'll have to do for the time being.
