SHURE 940 headphones.....good for the booth?

i have a pair of Shure 940 headphones.....i needed a good pair of cans to mix an make beats with......but would these be considered good headphones (or adaquate headphones for monitoring while recording in the booth??

i understand their "critical listening" headphones, so i'm wondering if having a pair of more regular consumer headphones (like Bose, Sony, Dre Beats, etc) would be better than the Shure 940's for recording vocals.....

thoughts???

Ronan Chris Murphy of "Ronans recording show" Recording Gear Reviews, Music Production Tips & Tricks - Ronan's Recording Show uses them. I haven´t heard them, but I would guess if you feel that they give a natural representation music in general, you´re fine with them.

For vocal recording, phones with exaggerated bass, might make it hard to intonate, so watch out for that. Closed headphones is good to minimize bleed.
