AkAi MPC3500, one of two in the world. What's the value?

Im playing with the idea of selling my MPC3500 (it's actually a Mpc5000 with Mpc3500 on the arm rest and box)
From what I gather it's one of 2 in the world and The Alchemest owns the other one.
My question is how much more do you guys think it's worth over a regular Mpc5000

I would like to be able to flip it and buy another Mpc5000 (because I love the Mpc5000s to death) and have some extra money for the holidays.

throw it on ebay at an exorbitant price and hope some baller wants it for him (or his kids) for the holidays. Pricing one of a kind items is whatever the seller is willing to sell for and the buyer is willing to pay.

If this was mine, I'd talk it up all day, have nice pictures/history, and accept nothing less than double the price of a new mpc5000. But I'm an asshole and I'd want top dollar for something like that

Explore local markets as well, CL/kijiji, can save you seller fees and you can act like they're getting a deal over the bay

I'm sure there is more than two. The serial # on mine is P20 which I believe stands for prototype 20.
I bought this from a beta tester and changed all of the knobs and pads to black but, still have the originals.

Look at the 2500le vs 2500 the Delta is around what you could normally expect. During the holidays you can probably get a little more or a lot more. Depends on how much cash and stupidity are in play by the buyer. If its mint the right marketing campaign could work. My best listings involve little hype. Many pics, simple description and a realistic minimum. People get excited on their own an buy high.

I personally wouldn't pay more than a hundred bucks over used 5000 prices for the "novelty". Even thar's a bit high. I bought one for less than the going price for the 5000 are the time. Dude just wanted a regular 2500 w jjos.

I wish I could edit my topic.

That's something you just sit on, let it be known it exists and some collector will pay well above what it is worth. Even the average person who would pay too much may not pay nearly what you could get from just sitting on it.

I have sold much less rare stuff like a Planet Phatt and some Akai racks to people who collect gear more than they use it for way more than they were worth.

For a quick sale, keep listing it on Ebay and MPC-Forums for a high but reasonable price.
