Damn, its always tricky to tell what type of hip hop a female will enjoy. Ive met girls who listen to Wu and all that and others who can only get into the more mellow stuff. But maybe some older Common, not named Electric Circus. Possibly something from The Roots. Cant go wrong with some classics.... Gangstarr - Moment of Truth Nas - Illmatic Or maybe a more underground type of hip hop like Madvillain - Madvilliany Edan - Beauty and the beat |

A few tips from the UK: 'Sway' is the biggest thing in the UK for Hip Hop at the moment. 'Floetic' by 'Floetry' is a brilliant song, but the rest of their first album is so-so. (Floetry are the girls that did the background vocals to 'Cry Me a River' by Justin Trousersnake.) For a party 'GLC' - 'Goldie Lookin Chain' is a must have, with classics lyrics like, 'oi mate, yer misses is a nutter.' Not to be taken too seriously tho. thumbsup |

I 2nd the roots tipping point. It sounds "accessable" to folks that might not like thier other stuff.

Funkynuts had the list earlier; The Roots, Talib Kweli, Common. All well produced, great flows but with a commercial slant. Hell, even my missus will listen to 'em and she don't like hip hop | |
