Th benefits you're going to have from having a vocal booth aren't really that apparent in a closet, or you're going to have to treat whats gong on in the space quite alot (or it'll sound like you're in a closet!) For relatively little more $$$ and a lot more advantage I would build a sperate iso booth. Unless I had a massive closet.. narco ps, I used to use an ensuite bathroom, it had an interesting sound.. |

I used a treated walk-in closet for a while (about a two years, actually) with GREAT results. The trick was in the treatment of the space. Any room CAN sound passable with the right touch. Most can sound good. PWG |

I.N.s... I was thinking about one of the small one person booths... have you used one, or do you own one... and what was the verdict...

I used to have a closet vocal booth. I had baffled foam dampeners everywhere. So It made the booth very small in size. The sound was very flat and free of reverb,, but isn't this what we want? then you add the reverb later,, I know some beg to differ ,, but tell me why? Some artists really liked it because they were free to look like a cheesball (squezz nuts, make fruity faces) without anyone seeing. ![]() Bigg_T |
