There have been numerous recent threads on this. I'm surprised you haven't read them.

Really I haven't seen any in this specific forumn but yea, I would like this to be a hip hop synthizer thread, you know synthizer that has good basic instruments and not stuff like opera voice as one of the sounds and etc....

Don't even worry about it man,

The less you think about what the next guy has the better. You can make cool sounds with almost any programmable synth. A guy once told me "If it has midi,, and the price is decent ,, pick it up!" << True

Its true, you can make a killer bell with a MT-32 ($50), you can make crazy bass with dx-21 ($100) , etc etc.

When people here your stuff do you really want them to think " Oh ya ,, theres that played out triton string,, or that same old Phantom Orch Hit" That stuff is tired already,, IMHO Forge your own groove !!

No I mean I definitly know that, I wouldalso welcome stuff like old school Moog's or something that is cheap but is also a quality product, I just don't want any standard Synthizer and etc.... perhaps I should have titled the thread cool and unique Synthizers or something.

Triton's and Motif's ARE 'standard stuff'.

Some of EMU's hardware synths are great. Used they're cheap. Yeah, they're samplers but I used to use the sounds a lot for fusion or percussive effects. Great Orch Hits.

Don't get synths mixed up with workstations. 2 different beasts!

The question would be better to ask what synths are not good for hip hop cause almost any decent synth will work for hip hop. Anything can work.
