Problem with Sounds in FL Studio

Whenever I load my drum kicks & snares into the FL studio Pattern it doesnt sound the same as the sample. Then I open the channel settings and click on the wav file/display and it sounds fine. But when I play it in the pattern it sounds screwed up...please help
