| Annoying Pro Tools Sound i got a question...i load pre set drum sounds into pro tools so i can filter ands compress them and some drum sounds have too much hiss after them. so naturally i cut from right after the kick and on to get rid of the hiss, but everytime i cut it..when i play it back it makes this annoying metronome like click right where i cut it off. what is causing that??? |

| just crossfade it out------highlight the end of the region and extend it beyond the regions border---then hit "apple F"-----you'll see it fade it out----you should do this anytime you have edited to regions together also----the click is caused when a piece of audio just STOPS---cause your not giving the waveform a chance to properly decay.... |

Daw's like Nuendo do this automatically after you make a cut edit. PT is not one those DAW's that do this automatically. Peace Eddie | |

| i dont what the name for that is but it happens when you sample bass drums or any deep sounds its like a cutoff. i hate it because if you sample the 808 kick its hard to get that pop out at the end of it....... i use a mv 8000 for my drums and samples and i just keep making changes to the smallest digit back and forth until i can't hear it or until it is so low you can't really tell what it is........
