selling my beats, what price?

I'm a french producer, I usually work with my group (we are not signed) so i work for free. I send some of my beats to a signed rapper from L.A. (not a big star but he have a feat with Styles P so I think his game is serious) Now he want to work with me and ask me for my prices. I dont know how to deal... can I ask for a lil money and keep the rights, or ask for mo money and sell my rights?

How you beatmakerz deal in this case?
what's the classic price range?
thanks.

beats

get some money AND keep your rights. if u come at people like you are not about your biz that is how youll be dealt with----work with them on the front end --but make sure u get your publishing and points. u might have to take a 25 % reduction on your pub though---that is common unfortunatley.

Maybe Tony, SSl or Ecue can drop a few ideas on this on. I been thinking about the samething these days too. I am sure it will be a case by case thing..but a few examples of cases would be great.

I charge 250 to 500. But always make sure you get them points and and your rights.

Is that for individual tracks like a ProTools session or a stereo mix?
