what do you think about this quote....

It`s ridiculous to think that your music will sound better if you go out and buy the latest keyboard. People tend to crave more equipment when they don`t know what they want from their music.

i saw this in someone's signature on another forum..... and...
i can agree..

it may or may not be true... i think it's situational. sometimes, that fresh new keyboard might be what that person's music is lacking.... at the same time, the neptunes use 10 year old keyboards and modules... and rockwilder made a ton of dope ass records on an xp50 until falling in love with the motif. ultimately, it's you, not the gear.

it is the person and not the gear!!!!but its a little misleading. if you use the same rational, then we should all be very happy with a mackie 24x8. no need to get that ssl then.

half and con..
i agree with both of you.. it's without a doubt about the talent and even skill level... i must admit that i love gear... no secret there... in fact there are quite a few new things i want to add to the setup like a fantom, more inputs and outputs,a danergous 2bus (lt), pthd, set of adam monitors, and a ton more; but it doesn't replace talent, skill, and creativity.. it may spark these things but definitely not make up for it..

quite naturally i'm feelin ya maestro.
