What mic and pre was used on "Like water for chocolate"?

This is one of my favorite albums of all time for several reasons... But what was the main vocal mic and pre used on this album (Common for those who don't know)? I know on "Cold Blooded" it sounds like a sm58 because of the nasal muffled thing going on in it... but the Condensor???? Just curious if anyone knows what was used on that album...

i don't know about the pre on the whole album... but i know "6th Sense"know the was a u87 into a 1073. i think they did the rest of that album downtown @ electric lady.

that was a dope session... there was another beat he had from prem... i wish he woulda done that too

I think the whole album may have been done with a U87... but I'm not sure. Just curious.... Listening to just made me wonder because whatever they used compliments his voice. I wonder if it was a vintage or a newer "Ai"?
