Fantom Drums for download......(updated EXS)

I made some of these tonight with a sample automator, just wanted to see if they work in other programs. I also have them in EXS format. They are from a FantomS. If they work, I'll post some more.

the reason zip has wave files I believe, the sampletank one doesn't. There is a samples folder in there.

I will post my exs tommorow night.

I sampled them dry, but I tried to sample them as loud as possible, they are 24 bit. But I always liked the Fantom joints. They seem to hit nice!

Download Translater Free from chickensys.com and you'll be able to extract the wav files from the sampletank files.

I already deleted the reason file but here's what I see when I open the samples folder of the EXS kit:

4 on the floor kit127_a1

And here's what WMP says when I try to play it:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

Sorry I'm not trying to be difficult... In fact I'm thankful. I can't wait to hear these sounds. I treat sounds like trading cards... Check my One Hitta thread.

Nah, it's cool, that's why I'm trying to find out if these translator programs work. I did this on a Mac, so that's why maybe it's not working, I have a pc at home and I will try to load up in my pc logic. When I saved them the program asked what format, and I picked 44khz, stereo, 24 bit. Does the computer that your testing them out on play 24 bit files?

Anyways, I'll get back to you after testing on the PC.

Peace out,

They don't work in WMP, but I loaded up in Wavelab with no problem and they work in Logic 5.5.1 on the PC and they work on a G5 with Logic 7 Pro. I suspect that windows media doesn't like 24 bit files, but that's just a guess.

What audio editor do you have, and have you tried to load in there?

Thanks, That song was a LOT of fun to produce... I'm glad you liked it. There are two singers - The smooth cat in the bridge (and BGV's) is Ronnie Jack. The main lead singer is an Italian kid named Giovanni Amato.

I got the pics off the web, I work out of my house.

Hey Illynoise, did you sample the whole kits or just a select few drum samples from each kit?

Oh, BTW, after going through the samples, I noticed alot of the kicks and some of the snare are brickwallin' it. They must have been sampled a little to hot, or else Roland likes to distort their kicks a little to give it that ooomph...one of the two. I'm not complainin' though! Most of the sounds are hot.

Nah... I mean, not yet. I'm in Mesa.

Hey BaseJase, I sampled the drums from my Motif ES a while back... I need to finish cropping them and then I'll put em up. Peace, Paul
