Waves SSL 4000 Bundle

Has anyone seen this special deal that TonyBelmont is doing for Gearslutz members? I emailed him and the price was great.

I've been looking at the threads in the other sections of the board and it seems like it is a great package. What's the other hip hop heads out there think of it?

Is it worth getting? I already have the mcdsp stuff and the waves gold bundle, and wanted to get some new plugins. I'm just about ready to jump on these.

I think the general consensus is that Waves has produced a very good alternative to the actual hardware. My experience is that there's never really a substitute for the hardware, perse, but that being said..........the SSL console is darn expensive and having something thats much cheaper, but still pristine in capturing the sound quality and feel of the actual hardware....it would be a good choice to go for this plugin package. If u want that feel. Also, with the software, u can go haywire and tweak to ur heart's content without damaging it or blowing any circuits or what have u, if u get a little too trigger happy.

Would be interesting to hear what Dre has to say about this or Disco D.Speaking of which, where's D at. D, if ur in and around, hit us up on ur views on the plugs.
