Midi question

yo wutz up everyone... hey got a question.... I'm a little confuse on how to sequence my midi.... right now I'm doing all my midi in protools from a motif rack controlled by a radium 61 thru a presonus eureka.... (hope that was clear) radium 61>>motif rack>>eureka>> 002r....(USB for DATA) there !!......... ok... I don't think theres anything wrong with what I'm doing.... I usually sequence inside of protools (since the motif rack doesnt have a sequencer) and then track thru the eureka.... the other day I was reading about someone using a MPC... and he wouldn't sequence into protools because he said that midi is a whole different conversion... (I think he was trying to sync hes MPC to protools)..... ok question.... so using USB is not the best way to sequence??.... I mean... in my case... I think all usb is doing is sending data right??... does it really affect my sound quality.... ???....
