Which Convertor Sounds Better RME ADI-8 Pro or Apogee Rosetta 800?

I have RME ADI-8 Pro convertors right now and i was wondering if you guys think the Apogee Rosetta 800 sounds better. If so whats the difference in the sound between the two? Does Big Ben acually improve the sound quality that much that i would notice it? Thanks in advance.

bump

....just because I'm probably going to upgrade my nearly decade old RME ADI-I PRO to Apogee or Lynx Aurora.

I own a Rosetta800 and my studio partner a FF800.

FF800 is a lot less colored than the Apogee, none of them sounds bad or sounds better than the other. We switch back and forth between both depending on the project we're working on. So that may be the RME sound.
Make sure your front end is of good quality otherwise this point is moot.

I think the FF800 is a sonic step up from the ADI-8 PRO? I'd assume so.

Honestly, i would not sweat over "converters" at this point of the game. You have a good set of converters in the RME. I doubt you'd get even a 10% increase in quality in sound if you were to "upgrade" from what you have. I promise you that. There are a lot of other things to upgrade or to worry about other than converters especially if you already have a good set of converters right now. FWIW, a partner of mine has both of which you're asking and i've asked him the question in the past and he's always told me its minute differences in the sound, in fact to the point that it didn't matter what he used. He just used the Rosetta 800 for more converters and he records live bands. So honestly dude i really would look into upgrading other things in your studio or even save the money for marketing or something...Just my take
