Question regarding mic pre

I have a neumann tlm 103. I am thinking of picking up a soudeluxe u195 to take over duties of my tlm103. I currently picked up my first high end mic pre a 512c in a lunchbox. I do hip hop r&b and alternative pop. I also am going to start doing quite a bit of reggaeton. My question is will a 512c soundeluxe combo give me a big sounding vocal. Also vocals tracks will be stacked so I wanna make sure things don't get ugly. I was thinking of also picking up a 312 mic pre from BAE to fit into my lunchbox. Or should I go with a 1272 from BAE? I also use these pres to track my mpc and synths.

Tracking chain for synths and mpc is usually mpc/synth>>>radial di>>>>>API 512c>>>>dbx 160x>>>>>pro tools

My proposed vocal chain would be TLM103/U195>>>>>>>512c/312a/1272????>>>>>>dbx 160x/focusrite voicemaster using only the compressor section>>>>pro tools?

Thoughts gentleman? Recommendations? Budget is in the 1500 range? I just thought the BAE 312's were a steal at about 500 bucks a channel. Might as well fill up my lunchbox.

Try a Chandler LTD-1. Those are awesome on lead vocals. In saying that, what you currently have would be just fine as well. remember, it's the talent that's the most important element in achieving great sound. Then the room, then the engineer, and THEN the equipment. So if you have a shitty performer, you can have the most expensive, jean creaming, equipment in the world, and it's still gonna sound like shit.
