Hey,

Just try using an adapter, instead of that crazy cable. I have an Orange Mirco SCSI 50HD card in a G4 hooked to an S3000XL's 25 pin input, and using an adapter between the 2. I have no problems transfering samples between the two.

If ya cant find one locally try googlin for it.

rock

You need a 50 pin Honda to 50 pin centronic cable. Try ebay.

FU<K ARMEN!!!! Armen's a thief and a liar!! The reason Armen's not @ Rogue anymore is because of his shady ass ways. He'd do shit like fix your keyboard in 3 seconds with a quick solder and charge you mad labor AND for a new part that he never even put in. There were mad people threatening to sue, and a couple did. He's a dick... so beware if you cop anything from him or bring anything to him to get fixed.

If you got an mpc 2000xl why don't you just replace the floppy drive with the zip drive. It's really easy.
Buy an atapi/ide zip drive (shouldn't be more than 40.00 now) and order the atapi zip kit from akai (I paid 30.00 for it about 6 yrs ago) They send you a cheap ass ribbon and the correct power harness (the one that comes with the atapi doesn't work with the mpc 2000xl) with instructions on how to install it.
It's a very easy upgrade. Some of my homeys put a hard drive in place of the zip.

If you get tired of the scsi thing; just try it; it's really inexpenseive and very convenient.

The exact part number (when ordering from akai) is
KIT-ZIPMPC2 (cables w/ instructions) 30.00 and the ZIPMPC2 (includes a zip drive and all cables/instructions) 130.00

yeah, you can do it for less than $50... if you can still find the cable/ kit thingee... GC & Ash were selling 'em for $20... and if you go to one of those lil' chinese computer stores, you can cop a 100mb zip for like $20-30. If you don't wanna be bothered, send me $1500 and i'll do it for ya
