In my experience, any "true" engineer worth his salt is also a good producer. (e.g. Mutt Lange, Jimmy Douglas, Bob Clearmountain, Mike Dean, Shipley, Jean Horvat, ect.)
They just go hand in hand. What you are looking for is a machine operator with a decent ear, or perhaps an engineer / producer that is willing to hang his producer hat at the door when he works for you. The days of "pure" engineers are long over imho. Sounds like a great staff gig for a young up and comer looking to make some contacts, and begin the great journey of a studio career.
Best of luck to all the applicants.

my point on the producing was no novice producer/engineer.... i know good engineers are also good musicians... what i meant by that is i want someone who understanding there role.. not trying bother me for drums... asking me ? about producing.. i do not care if the person has expeirence producing,, jus that thats not what were looking for...

and yes i am looking for someone not so high up the food chain.. if i want g noble.. jiimy d... rob marks, or even leslie b in atlanta i will hire them... im looking for someone who knows his shit. willing 2 get paid for reguraly for reocrding and mixing tracks all week long.. its not like he will be twiddling his thumbs.. im looking for someone who wants 2 be working constantly and wants 2 build his carreer. and its not like we jus gonna hire you if you apply the vibe has got 2 be right aswell

so with that being said anyone on this site intrested let me kno... i already got fullsail sending me cats an sae sending me kids next week... reason posted on here was hoping there was someengineer in my area unemployed right now looking for work that visits this site... if so holla// we are a registered company you will get a pay check and so on...

Not true...there's still a lot of Engineers who don't produce, or do much production at all....
