IS THE MPC 4000 128 STEPS VELOCITY SENSITIVE?

How do I manage to get my MPC 4k 128 steps velocity sensitive?
I've gone through almost every single parameter in the machine and I can't find how to make it 128 steps velocity sensitive.
In the for example the S-3000 XL you needed to put a parameter loudness at the value 80 but I haven't found the equivalence in the 4k.

I've found out that if you set the program level to 0.0 dB the result will
be the same from the value of 64 up to 127.
Between the value of 25 to 64 you get a linear change but one step is like 3 steps in another sampler or synthesizer.
At values below 25 the 4k reacts the same to different values giving you for example the same amplitude at the value of 23, 24 and 25.(if you let the tilt velocity control the Amplitude). then at 22 it lowers the amplitude again and next timed at 18 and so on.

I've also noticed that if you change the program level you also change the relationship between the velocity values that I explained above.
That meens that if you for example have programmet a hi-hat with different velocityvalues (tilt velocity controlling amplitude) and you for some reason need to change the hi-hat program level you could end up with a track with no amplitude differences on the hi-hat.

So what I'm saying is: The 4k isn't 128 steps tilt velocity sensitive.
It only manage to deliver around 45 different steps (I don't exactly remember how many steps below 25 it managed to deliver).

Someone please tell me I'm wrong 'cause it's drivin' me crazy.

Maybe it's just a simple little detail that I missed. If so please help me out.

I'm sure it is or can be... why you want it to be... is pretty much beyond me... You'll prolly have to make the sample it's own program... convert it to a Keygroup... and edit the Zone... or you can prolly accomplish what you want in the Q-Link section.... and mos def can do it in aksys... if your still stumped... just go to mpc-forums.com ... the answer is prolly there... or contact Bruce Forat... if it can be done... he'll have the answer for you in a matter of seconds...

On another note... if the s3000 can do it... then the s5000/6000 can... download the manual for the S5000/S6000... translate their instructions to the 4000... the 4000 has the same sample engine... and those manuals will give you a better understanding of getting the 4000 to do anything you want...

I've always just automated all that stuff if necessary... or made little velocity adjustments in Seq Edit mode...

Thanks for your answer babyface_finsta.
I don't necessarily need 128 steps sensitivity but I definately need to find out how to keep the sensitivity in my track if I adjust the program or part level. To make it short it has to do with mixing down two different tracks to the same fysical output and by that saving outputs if I have many tracks that I wan't to record into Pro Tools simultaneously.

Sorry but I'm new at gearslutz (not in the business) so I'm not aware of Bruce Forat. Who is he and how can I get in contact with him?
