Anybody know the Info About The Beat Making Competition In Texas Coming Soon?

Whadup people's, my boy told me about this beat making competition thats been held in Texas for the past few years and what they do is pick the top 10 people and they all get a publishing deal with major publishers and others stuff supposedly. A lot of major people in the urban hip-hop/rnb industry are going to be there. Its being help for 2 or 3 days and i think its in March. But my boy told me that the deadline is VERY soon and i think he said this Friday is the last day for submission, although sometimes they extend it.. You have to submit three 1 minute long beats or something like that by mail along with the proof that your beats are copywritten or in the process of it.

The problem is my man's moved to another place and cut off his rogers account and forgot to save his e-mails or something and he lost the info.

Does anybody know what im talking about and if so can you please give me the info asap so i can send my stuff in?

TonyBelmont do you know what im talking about or do you think you can find out? I think a female lawyer is running he said, my boy tried calling her but he cant seem to get ahold of her anymore for some reason. Mabye she changed her number? Anyways just askin and hopefully somebody could help. Respect!

i live in houston and i remember my wife calling me into the living room to check out the commercial for the event youre talking about. ive been to jack the rapper and other rap conventions, but each time i came away feeling like id been hustled, so i didnt even come out of the room when she mentioned it. but hey, this time it could be the real deal though, but then again if this is a lawyer hosting the event you could be walking right into a legal jack move for some of your hard work. let me know if you learn any more details.

amp, yeah it seems that many people dont know about it but its not a jack move imo. Thats why you have to send your beats either with proof of copywritten or in the process of. So nobody can jack your shit. I think she's dealt with a lot of major artists and it could be a great oppertunity. No matter where you go you almost always are going to try to get hustled to some extent. You just gotta know your business. I would even go to hand the Managers and A&R's my tracks personally and get their contact info. I think JD and Carnival Beats are going to be there aswell as tons of others in the industry.

I just need all the info for rules, submission, adress, ect.

nukmusic, thank you soooooo much! Ima give this my best shot. Unfortunately my tracks arent mixed and the deadline is in basically 2 days so i'll have to send them dry. I have tracks that are a full 3-4 minutes so do i just do a straight cut off at 1 minute?

Thanks again and PEACE!
