Hello, I was wondering… I realy like this effect… (song is a little bit cheap but anyway)

Is this a woodwind with a talkbox? anyboday has an idea of how this was done?

Anyway it should be something with a carrier signal mixed with vocals right?

I tought the instruments was a woodwind but don't know what exactly… also I think there has been some filtering going on too…

Anyone did this kind of effect once?

its just some vocal adlibs with heavy compression, a filter, and auto-tune with the speed set to very high, and relaxed....its not layered with anything as far as i can hear

seems strange, If you listen carefully the timbre of a vocal doesn't make that kind of sound right? this is more a mix of autotune, vocoder, talkbox I'm afraid, I'm almost sure it's some instruments that's used as carrier signal only don't know what… It's a bit the effect like you can hear in that sound from "mario-let met love you" altough that's the only cool thing about that whole song hèhè

yea i stand corrected---i was listening to it before on the cpu built in speakers---i was probably only hearing between3-5k--i hear what your talking about now---yea maybe talkbox into auto-tune----i don't think vocoder, though, but could be---to be honest, i've never really heard anything exactly like that---i dont even remember it in the mario song...uh oh is this gonna get played out like the "autotune" for the new millenium???
