So.... I've been listening to Pandora recently on my iphone. This is how radio should be, rather than the same 30 songs a program director picks because Mediabase tells them that's what's "hot".

We need a new radio revolution. Maybe this is the start?

You don't like a song... you give it a thumbs down! Genius.

So simple but so true. I can't stand terestrial radio, as howard stern calls it. I listen to my ipod, cd's or sirius radio. Sirius can get a lil old sometimes too. I guess my ipod is the best thing smoking right now.

Radio is great in certain regions. Just the mainstream stations need to load up MORE music in their database so i dont hear 2 B O B horrible songs every hour.

i stoped listening to radio a while ago , tv also (except for soccer , news , sometime good movies)

i + 10000000000 What tony said and it reminds me one movie about a british movie about the first british radio that played some rocks from a boat in the "black sea" as they were illegal in great britain .....(by the way if somebody recall the name ....)

so this is what we need , tru independant radio from our garage !! as it's legal now !!

i will call "FRR" : **** radio radio !

every saturday : live freestyles
every months on first week the school : today : Tuff crew!, today K9 posse ....

I'm just wondering the chance of hearing today "burn baby burn!!" from too black too strong ....

All we hear now is the same i got a bentley , i got money , you not , beware i'm a gansgta, gotta big house .......and that 10 time a day (per songs) , basicaly capitalism propaganda even on the supposed most critical movement (with rocks)

Pandora is the shit!

love it.

the commercial is like once every hour and depending on the station you choose I believe it is more or less frequent.

The membership is $30 which is cheap as hell compared to sirius/xm which raised their price (they said they wouldn't once they combined) ..and you have to have a different subscription per device (ridiculous)..I didn't renew and I'm glad, Pandora is free and is the future! Can't stand all the BS talking on XM/Sirius and all the damn Eminem songs

As for the regular radio, never...ever...ever...unless it's NPR or local college radio

Radio is not dead its just our ears are getting older. Some people might say there is no variety in radio programing or they are playin crap on the radio, UNTRUE. Rap, especially, is a young mans game. Older people do not buy the music on itunes or zune so why cater to them. Kids want to hear their favorite song a couple of times on the radio. Just like when wu-tang came out with triumph I remember hearing that get played on the radio every hour. You can either 1)stay current or 2)nag about how things used to be and I see most chose people on this forum chose 2).

Often I thank God that I'm not young anymore. If I were I'd have to hear that stuff all the time. I am so glad not to be with it any more.

By the way, when I was young most of the music was junk too but that stuff has been forgotten. Not by me, though.

I was lucky that the music of my youth has stood the test of time. That is SO rare. When good stuff stopped appearing in about 1972 we thought it was only a lull and it would be back. Little did we know....

Was the radio ever really good in your areas? I know it has always sucked here for hip hop, and it was always pop rap that got played very sparingly way back when though as well. The only difference is there was less pop rap, I mean people like Pac and Dre were considered "POP" by many not too long ago.
