How would i do this? If I sample drums off dynamite by taio cruz and Dj got us falling in love again by usher i would also get the snyths and other instruments all behind that drum which will sound horrendous

Not that I have any problem with it but Dance music is the Genre in my own humble opinion that production-wise still sounds the exact same as it did in the 90's. Im guessing that they've installed a an escalator to deal with overcrowding.

By calling a style of music crap, are you not categorizing the audience who listen to it as well? Do you think that's fair, because people are entitled to listen to what they want (hello it's 2010...) and what makes them feel good? (rather than some traditional stuff, just because it has some organic instruments, better players, deeper harmonic structures and arrangements)..... What defines crap?

lol.

The day that I observe you saying you like music other than that of which you've made; had a hand in making; is similar to the style of music you play; is not from your era of music; and is not music made by one of your fellow colleagues, will be the day I have to start a new thread to celebrate it.

I use:

Urban Fire Urban Electro
Machine Driven Drums
Goldbaby Taped Machine Kits

really nothing else left to use..

Vengeance, Big Fish Audio, Bunker 8, Loopmasters all make good decent "to go" kits for the style you want to create, along with some useful percussion loops.

By the way, what is Machine Driven Drums?
Also, can I ask what software sampler you use these kits in or create your own?

Thanks!

I feel the same way, I think Philly needs to get out of his era a bit. Not everything coming out right now is garbage, but you do need to have an open mind too, which I don't think that he does (and I think there are lots of close minded people on this forum too).

Hmmm..... I'd really like to know what you guys are referring to as 'dance' music.

Sounds like a lot of you have been living in a bubble.
