Autotune tracking settings for realistic vocal ;/

What tracking setting do you guys find is most effective for using autotune for its proper use, no effect but just fixing slightly out of key vocals.

If you want mention how u use your humanize and speed function for this type of vocal correction also would be cool.

Most natural/realistic would be to use the graphic mode. To me, that's the proper use for it....

Go with graphic mode and you will never look back. You can get away with much faster tuning speeds in graphic mode as well, provided you are very accurate with your drawing.

Using AT to try to smooth out pitchiness while tracking generally throws the singer off. You should work to get the best, most in-tune performance out of the singer while tracking, and do the pitch correction by hand (graphic mode) after a great vocal has been comped.

Most hip hop so called "producers" dont know what a "key" is and wouldnt know how to relate to pitch,so its really a losing battle.

Truth.
But their bio will talk about how they are more 'musical' than other producers. Haha

Depends on the singer, the song, and how out-of-tune he or she is. Honestly, dude, you just gotta suck it up and use graphic mode.

Try it to both extremes and find your happy medieum.

Like they say, graphic is best.

Some make a living off of just tuning vocals. Pheww... Glad it's not me!!

Try em both and see which you prefer. It's a fairly personal thing.
