Justice League string sound

Hi!

Anyone who knows how Justice League gets their string sound? Vienna, EastWest etc? (And please don't give me that "It's a Motif preset"...)

Listen to the intro of "Maybach Music 2" etc and you know what I'm talking about.

S

Sorry, no vsti's there.

They are performed and arranged by Ashanti Floyd aka 'The Mad Violinist'.

You can probably reach him at his website symphonycrack.com

Arranged by JL, performed by the very talented Ashanti Floyd. All string parts for MM2 were first played using IK Philharmonik, then transcribed for live stacks. You're hearing a combination of sample and live strings.

While we're talking about Justice League, does anyone know what they use for bass? I hear live bass but I mean what brand of guitar and amp(s)? It's so hearty and vibrant, I didn't know if that's layered with somethin' else or what.

I got to hang with Ashanti a few times in the past few years...that dude is so immensely talented, it's unbelievable. I really respect his work...dude's been on quite a few major tracks now.

When I worked with them it was just logic programming. That's me at the very beginning of vid. I got in the strangest convo with one of them about real gear vs plugins. They favor plugs where as I like the real thing.

Hi. Are you the man behind the mixes of tracks from Hotrod and Drumma Drumma on the Cocaine Muzik series?

Been wondering the same. Although, its evident whoever they hire to play is top notch, so I'm sure thats 75% of it.

Shouts to the Justice League..They are pushing the limits.
The sessions for MM3 were humongous and it was down to the wire, but it got done and is now the classic that we all know. Shouts to Leslie on the mix, also.

Maybach Music 3 was a live recording though...

You may want to check out an interview I recently did with their engineer @ theProAudioFiles.com. He talks a bit about the string/horn recording session.

Everybody needs to read this Edward j Nixon interview .

I'd like to hear the sampled version of the instrumental. Think the samples were just used as scratch tracks? I guess the intention was always to have everything live..
