My setup!!...mpc sequencer..soft synths

Right now i'm using my MPC and some soundmodules.
Sequencing in the MPC, right now i'm thinking bout getting rid of some hardware soundmodules and replace these with some softwares instruments.
But i still want to do sequecing the mpc, but with the software synths.
So i guess it would be the midi outs of my midi-interface ?....in the in-midi mpc right?
I'm using ptls...i never tried this, so i really don't know!!
let me know...thnx fella's

if you want to control softsynths with the mpc you have to use the outs of the mpc and the ins of your computer.

EDIT:
seems that i misunderstood you. if you want to use sounds off the mpc and sequence in the computer you have to use the computer's out and the mpc's in. anyway, i would connect them both ways, so you can use the mpc's pads and sequencer whenever you want to.

I use my mpc to do drums and then sync the mpc to PT and dump my drums to my liking. Afterwards I use soft synths or modules whatever i want to finish sequencing in the computer.

Just hook the mpc midi input to the midi out of your midi interface.

Next inside the program you are using send midi beat clock out of pro tools (i assume) to the mpc.

Set your mpc to external sync.

Match the tempo, hit the space bar and get your write on.
