How to get that dolby digital sound effect???

ok so i was just wondering about the sound that plays during dolbys logo before movies... i know theres an easy way to get that sound i just cant remember what the parameter is called.

Its a parameter on synths i think that affects the key your playing by starting it way out of tune then is comes into tune.. ??

I dunno how to make this make any more sense, if you know how to get that sound. plz let me kno. thanks!!

I believe there is a similar preset already set up for you in Gladiator 2 by Tone 2.

Portamento

I think you are referring to Portamento?
This is when the notes slide from one to the next.
You can play with the Portamento settings on your synths to determine how fast the notes will slide (MIDI Controller #5).

Then, you press one key, say, at the low end of your keyboard and while still holding that key hit another one higher up. The portamento will start with the first key you pressed and eventually settle on the new tone.

Was this what yo meant?

It would be great to hear your questions there, so I could address them on the blog!

Assign an envelope to modulate pitch.

You should ask Dr. Dre what he used to make it when he got sued by George Lucas
