New softsynth suggestions.

I really need a new softsynth for some new sounds. I'm making hip-hop / pop type beats. I am thinking of going with NI Massive but I may as well see what alternatives / new synths are about before I do?! Thanks for your help.

If you are usingPT,Xpand 2 is the way to go,just as long as you are a REAL keyboard player and not just some "blip blop" type of dude.

Hmm....lets see here

1st off as for Massive-It is good...good enough to be a go-to every track kinda plug in....maybe but i doubt you would be disappointed with it.

Rob Papen has two that are really good for pop/rap
ALBINO and BLUE (would be my guess to fit your needs)

I really liked the demo version of Morphine i tried and plan to get it myself.

Absynth 4 has a lot of darker kinda creepy sounds IMO.

Pentagon has lots of thicker ambient pads and such.

If money isn't an object...SPECTRASONICS!
Omnisphere, Trillian and a new pair of boner pants!

A lot of plug-ins have demo's to download and try. I personally wouldn't buy until id tried it out myself because we can suggest plugins all day but it really comes down to what you like and need.
That said i could take either ALBINO or BLUE and make beats for days with one of em alone...hope that helps.
