Maybe I need to listen to the radio more often, but when did live basses go out of style? I'll take a solid funky bass groove over a 3 note saw lead any day.

I think we should bring the Triangle back. Philly, I heard you used to play a mean triangle back in the day!

for those who were like how did this beat get on britneys album... well first he gave her "gimme more" which still in 2010 sounds next level....

It may not be an amazing production but its very solid, the chordal arrangement for the pre chorus is done really slick and in his signature style... drums are also really well programmed (i.e. the hi hat groove)

Most importantly it inspired the writer to write a hit song to it

Do you have Britney's dry unprocessed vocals? that would be way more interesting.

They added more sound layers to polish up in the final version. Looks like they layered the synth parts in the final mixing stages. Its just a demo not a finished completebeat, they usually sound barren and crappy as compared to the final mix.

i just love the way danja makes his drum sound slightly out of time to give that swing, not straight 16 quantised.... sounds crazy

For me that's the biggest difference between the OP's track and the original. That's why I think it's a remake. These kind of things you don't do later. You have to make even the rough demo to stand out, and it's little things like this that count.

Drum sounds are different also, and think Chris Lago is right about the synth.

Mixing is pretty unimportant. As you can hear it's a whole new production.

Dan182 the one you posted timing is correct and locked, it's not like the original timing witch is off.
Tharemedy, yours is the original, it has the same timing issue as the video.
I was surprised that no one mentioned that timing problem.
It happens almost every time it goes on the one, unless, that's the feel they where going for.
Usually the swing timing would be variable to more of a life like feel, this sound like it's off timing, just my thoughts.
Peace & blessings.
