that bass playing he's doing sounds a bit like the stuff I've been doing lately with EWQL Hardcore Bass. Love it

The Vimeo videos look awesome... the beats on the tracks were tight as hell.

Paying per view though? Pass. I'd rather buy something and own it. I can understand the piracy issues, but I don't rent movies unless they're from the store down my street.

Not intending for this to divert into a piracy discussion. Looks like a cool movie.

Obviously he got the engineer record and chop the bass track bulk to trigger it later via the MPC).

I just love what Hereirra(sp) said about what a REAL producer is and does.
maybe the so called "beatmakers" will finally get it.

It's a nice documentary, I ordered the dvd from a french site a couple of months ago (15 euro), it's worthwhile to see it, got some nice interviews, show the actual music making process, some gear involved, interviews to session musicians etc...The downside for me is that it does give much focus to some of G-funk music like Nate Dogg, Warren G, Foesum or Twinz which is the genre I like the most.

Im a fan of Focus - but I wasn't feelin the bass playing either, It was ok.. I think they just play enough to chop it in the MPC and quantize it. I did how ever like the P-bass and the Tone !! I have more respect for his father as a bass player...The late great Bernard Edwards! RIP

well I liked the SOUND! it had when it was running under the beat. Which is what reminded me of the EastWest Hardcore Bass modules.

I watched...I liked it

I hate the format.

3 views? what? Just let me buy it!

the player gets all crazy if you forget to turn of your screensaver....there's one view gone because even if you catch it before it totally goes into sleep mode, the player just shows a funky purple screen...the audio still works, but no picture lol.

I don't like the idea of "renting" a video online...I'd rather pay a bit more and own it.

but I did like the video, it was pretty entertaining.

Greatest docu covering up on the Westcoast music and culture, anyone know any other similar documentary? studio/beat making/equipment related.

They should have had my boy Johnny J in this though, the dude is Westcoast eternal.
