FL Studio 9 rewire Pro Tools 8 Crash

I have a friend I'm recording who uses FL Studio and I was just wondering if there is any fix to the crash caused by using FL studio as a rewire plug-in into pro Tools 8 LE. I would like to bring the tracks straight from FL and track them straight into Pro Tools. Any help would be great. Ive read many people have similar issues but I was hoping to have better luck posting on here.
Thank you

I'm curious as to why FL can work fine with other programs and not with PT. Do you think Avid purposely did that? hmm it open fine but when I go to a session it crashes everything. I guess we stuck til a next update

works in mine but i don't use the FL plugin cause When i switch to FL the midi doesn't work. It's like Pro tools took over my midi. I can only midi the first channel and I'm not able to move to other channels. I find it funny how PT takes 10 years to start up and fl take 2 secs. PT needs to totally start from the ground up. I have a feeling all they do is patch patch patch everything in there poorly coded software. But i do like PT! For editing/Recording

man same here. I herd Pro Tools 9 is around the corner so hopefully they fix the load time. Pro Tools 8 is faster than 7.4 so I'm not really complaining and I realize its mainly certain plugins causing the slow boot up.

To the OP

Its called "PRO" Tools for a reason... it only works with PRO-TOOLS !!! LOL

You'll have to wait for Amateur-Tools with the Auto Fruity Loops Sync 1.0 feature !

...sorry I just couldn't resist ! LOL

Now back to our originally scheduled thread ! ...shout outs to 9th Wonder !

If I was Pro Tools, I wouldn't want to work with FL either.

Couldn't resist either. LOL

...On a more serious note, you'd think that by now someone at their headquarters would have gotten the idea and suggested they do a massive aesthetic upgrade, use the same engine, and relaunch it with a totally different different name (and just dropping the words "fRuItY LoOpS" from the title and using FL won't work either).

I'd bet their sales would increase dramatically.

ha I knew people would bash Fruity loops here. Not a fan myself but what can you do when that's what you have to work with. anyways i had a similar experience with it working but after I adjusted the buffer size it also crashed. never retried just exported the individual waves and dropped them into pro tools.

Gotta hate that about people. Digidesign has been having problems with the driver though. It's still in beta for Windows 7. So until Win7 is fully supported, expect problems.

I'm thinking about switching to Reaper. Its great and doesn't give me any problems. Sometimes when I export things out of pro tools, its like the exported file end up being faster than the original session in playback. Now my artist think I don't know what I'm doing...hist

LOL, after finding a solution for thier "distored sound" issue with 64bit. They should pay me. Not only that, they take forever on updates, its been two months now and lots of people are losing some amount of money due to these beta driver giving trouble. Just take a look over digidesign forums or google search "digidesign beta drivers distorted sound" ...

I'm curious if its worth the money any more. Since people are compaling about the drivers but other than that, at that price i could mayb get sumting better.

See, if you'd actually be me, you wouldn't use Pro Tools in the first place, but no, you are a Lago wannabe .

Cannot be duplicated.

Uh same prob

At least these days you can get it to make beats that don't sound as uh cleche dance club. Well you have to really work with the volocity and import your own drum samples. Pro Tools works when it feels like it. It sometimes doesn't like it's own hardware. Truth! To take the Alternative Lifestyle Loops side, I've used it for years as a practice sequencer. Perfect for building speed in those tough to reach rythems. But once you start loading samples and getting a cool sound out of it, things go wrong. I wish there was a profesional software with the same idea going. I find Reason anoying to use.
