Thread Starter | Live Performance Software and Setup Thread Ive done some searching, and the other questions that asked about this were not geared toward my use of software to be used live, for stage performance. I would be dropping a mixed down stereo instrumental track into Track 1. And set up a track for vocals, with autotuned effects. Someone would be by the laptop to automate autotune for example. And do other adjustments. The genres would be Rap/Hip Hop/Dance/Pop There would be no live instruments, only vocals, with maybe 2 or 3 mics, depending on the number of artists, performing. I am looking for pretty stable software...?? And a mixer that has at least 5 preamps.... I was looking at the Behringer line.... I know there are mixers that have reverb, compression, eq built in... But I would need the software to run autotune automations. I do not want to purchase the autotune hardware unit. I already have autotune software. I also have Cubase 5, which is pretty stable. No crashes yet, when monitoring autotune live in the home studio. ASIO buffer is at 4ms. 2ms seems to add crackling. I have an Emu 1616M, and using the Emu ASIO drivers. This is on a desktop...by the way. I am going to be getting a powerful laptop for live performances... So I would need stable, dependable ASIO drivers. Unless I get an additional interface for the live performances.... So what interface should I get for the laptop....??? What software and mixer do you recommend? The routing would go... Mic>Mixer>Audio Interface into computer DAW Thanks |
