Reason/Record or Komplete 6

I am looking to add some sounds through software to my Roland MV-8000 and was looking for some advice. I am trying to decide which might be best. I like the Reason/Record setup but Komplete 6 also looks good. I am looking for what sounds the most realistic if that is possible. I do a lot of hip-hop, RnB, Jazz type music and am looking at doing more rock and possibly work on film scoring. Do either sound realistic? I have also looked at the EastWest libraries but they are a lot more expensive and need a bettter computer. I am looking for the most realistic sounding at the best price (if that's possible).

Any suggestions?

Can you post an example of your "current" work with Realistic sounds?

The term "realistic" varies person to person.

As far as those 2 are concerned, they both have a nice depth of "acoustic" sounds. Both allow you too edit and use FX on those sounds to get them more up to your speed.

I want to recommend Komplete, becuase it will be more like a synth rack since you are recording back into the MV

Reason/Record...are 2 sequencers...If you're not dumping into a DAW or programming on the computer, i dont know if this would benefit you as much

using your mv 8k in Record without midi out functionality will be a b*tch. For that Reason I am going to say get Komplete. Especially since I am assuming you already have a daw host.

Thanks everyone for the help. I really don't have anything current that I've done. I've had ****ing Producer's Block for about 6 months. Lately I'll start to do something, not like the way it sounds and scrap it completely. Some older stuff I have done can be found here but most of it sucks: Music page of Mannas - MP3 music page on SoundClick

I had a MO6 at one time and some of the beats on the Soundclick page came from the MO. I really like the Yamaha sounds. That's the only thing I can think of to compare it to. I really want instruments that sound like they were played live in the studio. A lot of people describe the Motif as being more organic which I think is what I am looking for but I don't want to go hardware if I can help it. In fact my goal is to go all software if I can find things that fit my needs.

Also, another reason I am looking at Komplete 6 is I am about to get Amplitube and Ampeg so that I can play my guitar and bass in myself. I don't think I can get the sounds of those into Record easily.

Thanks again.
