| Need Some Help Syncing Reason/Record to an External Sequencer Hi Everyone, I recently got a demo of both Reason 4 and Record and am loving them so far. I would like to sync Record with the Reason instruments in it to my Roland MV-8000. I set it up and set the MIDI clock to external. When I start the sequencer on the MV everything plays in sync at first but after about 4-5 bars it all falls out of wack. I am not sure what to do to combat this. I tried to hook it up to my MPC 2000XL as well and the same issue happened so now I am pretty sure it is stemming from Reason or Record. I tried both and it happened both times. Any ideas how to make it stay in time? I would love to purchase the Reason/Record DUO to add a nice sound library and I really like the sound of the SSL modeled mixer but wanted to make sure I can make it work before I do. It's tough also since Reason is the demo I only have 20 minutes each time to try to figure out the problem. Thanks in advance for anyone willing to take the time to help. |

| Lives for gear | its an issue in Record that props have not fixed yet. there arent any real timing issues when sync'd to reason but then u lose the audio capabilities that made u want to try them in the first place i imagine |

| Thanks for the reply X. That's a shame. I'm also looking at going the route of Komplete 6 and sequencing in the MV or just straight software using Reaper as my DAW. Are there any plugins that could get that warmer sound that Record seems to have with the SSL mixer? |

| Hi Mannas, If I read your post correctly, you want to sync your Roland MV-8000 music production workstation to play nice with your Reason software. Maybe you want to be on the lookout for Innerclock System's SyncLock. Innerclock Systems - Precision Din Sync and Midi Clock Conversion, Synchronisation and Delay I don't own one, but from what I understand it will change the audio coming from some spare outs on your sound card into a usable Midi Clock, Din Sync and/or Voltage signal. Might be worth checking out. In addition, I think it comes with software that will clean up the midi timing coming from your computer so that both software and external gear run your beats and grooves rock solid. |
