Voice Change Tools

What's a good way to change a voice?

Like if i wanted my female singer to be an alto, instead of a soprano

Or i wanted an accent on the voice

Deeper the voice without changing the key

and things like that.

I know audigy soundcards had cool tools that let u talk like a chipmunk, woman, boy, giant and so on..

Has anything taken that concept and made it better? or more high quality?

On some top secret government type stuff...lol

Talk as the president on the phone type of filters...

I ask, because of the melodyne DNA thing....if u can break the voice of the chords... cant u match the voice of a sound?

Like take your violin and make it a cello? In theory

Can't think of anything specific off the top of my head but I'm sure Evantide makes lots of good vocal manglers. Don't know much about autotune EVO but I think it has some morphing abilities as well.

Antares has or had some of the tools to create the effects you describe. One of those tools is 'Throat'.
